Mods for The Sims 4 are a great way to enhance and bring variety to your gameplay. With the MC Command Center Mod (MCCC), you get access to so many features to customize and control your game to be exactly what you want.
Do you want to set default hair, makeup, and jewelry for your Sim no matter what clothes they're wearing? Change your Sim's traits? Change their walk style? Add NPCs to your household? Increase household size? You can do all of this and so much more with the MCCC. Let's get into how to install this mod into your game so you can start experiencing everything it offers.
Download The MC Command Center Mod
First go to the MCCC website to download it. In the menu bar at the top click on Download MCCC, then find the most recent version of the Mod and click the download link on the left.
MCCC is a popular script mod and frequently gets updated every time The Sims 4 does, so make sure to stay up to date to ensure that both the game and mod run seamlessly. Additionally, whenever the game updates, it will break the mod.
So, when the game does inevitably update, backup and remove the Mods folder, update the game, and then check the MCCC website for any mod updates before reinstalling.
Unzip And Install The MC Command Center Mod
Once the download finishes, find the file in your Downloads folder. It should be labeled "McCmdCenter_AllModules_" followed by the number of the current version.
To unzip the file, double-click it on Mac. On PC, right-click the file and select Extract, then Extract again. A folder with the mod files will be created in your Downloads.
Next, locate the Sims 4 Mods folder by going to Documents → Electronic Arts → The Sims 4 → Mods (on both Mac and PC). If there isn't a Mods folder there, create one, then drag the McCmdCenter folder from Downloads to the Mods folder.
Enable Mods In The Sims 4
If you haven't done this already, in order to use the mod you just installed you need to enable mods in the game. Open the game to the main menu, then go to the game options by clicking on the three dots in the upper right corner. Then click Options, and Other. Select the checkboxes labeled "Enable Custom Content and Mods" and "Script Mods Allowed."
Lastly, restart the game, and enjoy the new level of control you have over your Sims and NPCs.
