The Game Awards take place tonight and hype for the show's tenth anniversary continues to escalate with only a few hours left to go until it begins. Lots of games released throughout 2024 have been nominated in various TGA categories, and if there are some that have caught your eye that you missed out on during the past 12 months, there's a very real chance you can currently pick them up for less on Xbox.
The sale, which will come to an end at some time today, potentially before The Game Awards even begin but probably during the show or once it comes to an end, has cut the prices of both 2024 nominees and past Game Awards winners by up to 67 percent. There are also a few rogue games thrown in there too like EA Sports College Football 25, possibly because Xbox assumed they'd be nominated for something. Hey, I'm certainly not going to argue against more games being available for less.
Amazon Has Slashed The Prices Of Games Featured In Secret Level
Amazon has cut the price of games featured in its new Secret Level series to celebrate its arrival on Prime.
There does only appear to be one of the six games nominated for 2024's Game of the Year included in Xbox's TGA sale, and that's Balatro. In Xbox's defense, three of the six nominees aren't available on Xbox, one's a DLC, and Metaphor: ReFantazio is a very new game. As for Balatro, if you have somehow avoided its pull until now, you can currently pick up the popular card game for less than $13 on Xbox.

Even though Metaphor appears to have been deemed too new to be included in Xbox's TGAs sale, Dragon Age: The Veilguard has made the cut. Not quite good enough to be nominated for the big one, but the newest Dragon Age game is up for the Innovation for Accessibility award. Usually $70, you can pick up The Veilguard for 30 percent off on Xbox if you buy it before the end of today.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is the long-awaited fourth game in the fantasy RPG series from BioWare formerly known as Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. A direct sequel to Inquisition, it focuses on red lyrium and Solas, the aforementioned Dread Wolf.

Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth continues the story of Ichiban Kasuga, in the ninth mainline entry in the series formerly known as Yakuza. It will once again feature turn-based combat, and takes our protagonist outside of Japan for the first time.
Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth is another huge game released in 2024 that won't walk away tonight with the biggest TGA award, but could leave with two trophies nonetheless - Best Role Playing Game, and Best Narrative. It's also one of the games with the heaviest discounts in Xbox's Game Awards sale with a hefty 50 percent discount bringing its price down to $34.99.
Other games available for less on Xbox between now and tonight's Game Awards include Star Wars Outlaws which has three nominations, Dragon's Dogma 2 which will be competing with Infinite Wealth to be crowned this year's Best RPG, and It Takes Two which took home Game of the Year at TGAs in 2021.
